In the first quarter of 2021, I received an exciting call from Azadi Kenya, a survivor led organization in the mission against trafficking in persons. Azadi was looking to have a curated set of images that reflected their energy and vision as an organization. An energy of peace, love and community.
A vision of independence, freedom and emancipation. Being a survivor at Azadi means, growing in capacity and agency over one's life. Understanding and supporting others who have gone through similar situations. It means improving the community's understanding of what it means to heal & grow. At Azadi, a survivor is a leader.
